DS4M Mediterráneo representatives attend the Urban Data EDINT Valencia 2026 Seminar

Representatives of DS4M Mediterráneo, a project led by INTRAS (Research Institute on Traffic and Road Safety) – University of Valencia, attended the Urban Data EDINT Valencia 2026 Seminar. This space allowed for knowledge sharing and the exploration of different use cases that are transforming urban management through the use of data.

The seminar was opened by Paula Llobet Vilarrasa, City Councilor for Tourism, reinforcing the link between innovation and territorial development. Speakers included Patricia Tamarit (Product Innovation Director at NUNSYS) and Enric Gil Gallen (Data Scientist at Pavapark), who are active participants in our Data Space, DS4M Mediterráneo.

Furthermore, the event featured guest speaker Tim Kraska from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose presentation provided an international perspective on the future of data and its impact on urban environments.

Finally, the closing of the event featured Miguel Angel Martin Rodriguez, Head of the CEOD EDEINT offices, and Ernesto Faubel, Head of the Smart City and Data Management Service of the Valencia City Council. Faubel highlighted that this first phase has proven the project’s viability and advanced a useful cooperation model for the city.

From DS4M Mediterráneo, we continue to support our presence in these initiatives, where collaboration between companies and experts drives innovation in the field of urban data.
