DS4M Mediterráneo Discusses the Future of Smart Cities at ValgrAI's Urban Mobility Data Hub Conference

Prof. Dr. Francisco Alonso participated today, representing the DS4M Mediterráneo project (Universitat de València), in the conference “Urban Mobility Data Hub (UMDH) – Data and Mobility: A Shared Vision for Tomorrow’s City,” a strategic technology transfer event organized by ValgrAI.
Towards an Interoperable Data Ecosystem
The event focused on the creation of interoperable data ecosystems, the development of autonomous vehicles, and the deployment of connected solutions for smart cities. Throughout the session, speakers debated how proper governance and secure data sharing are essential to optimize urban planning and future public infrastructures.
Prof. Alonso was part of a high-level panel discussion alongside prominent industry experts: Juan Bueno (CEO of MOVEA CONSULTING), Ciro Ferrer Gómez (Mobility Councilor at the Ajuntament de Vilamarxant), Vicente Julián (Professor at the Department of Computer Systems and Computation and researcher at VRAIN – Universitat Politècnica de València), and Juan German Tapia Perales (CPO of Mettis AI).
