DS4M Mediterráneo Explores Dynamic Certification as a Pillar of Trust at the eMobility Expo World Congress in Málaga

On March 10, Prof. Dr. Francisco Alonso, representing DS4M Mediterráneo (Universitat de València), took part in the panel discussion “Dynamic Certification: The DNA of Trust in Data Spaces,” held during the eMobility Expo World Congress – MOW in Málaga. This congress is recognized as one of Europe’s leading forums for sustainable, connected, and digital mobility.

Dynamic Certification: The DNA of Trust The session brought together experts from academia, technology, and innovation to discuss the role of dynamic certification as a key mechanism for building trust within data spaces. During the debate, it was emphasized that certification should not be a static process, but rather a living element that ensures interoperability, governance, and secure data exchange between organizations in real-time.

The discussion featured a high-level panel:

  • Moderator: Antonio García Celda (General Director of European Green Capital, Valencia City Council).

  • David Torres García: Technical Director at Kiwa Spain.

  • Armando Ortuño-Padilla: General Director of the Hydrogen Valley of the Valencian Community.

A Pillar for Data Sovereignty During the event, Prof. Dr. Alonso highlighted that for mobility data spaces—such as DS4M Mediterráneo—to be fully operational and scalable, technical and legal trust is non-negotiable. Dynamic certification acts as the “DNA” that continuously validates that all participants comply with sovereignty and security standards, ensuring that data flows lead to more efficient and responsible mobility.

DS4M Mediterráneo would like to thank the organizers of the eMobility Expo World Congress for the opportunity to contribute to this strategic dialogue on the digital future of our cities.
